Powerful search function

You can easily search for files or media with basic or advanced settings
(search by name, extension, date, description,...) in your multimedia
collection. You can also locate the search file in your disk catalog and access
to his properties.

Imports thumbnails and description
|
|
When scanning files, ReportCD can import in your disk catalog image thumbnails
and a short description. It supports various files type and each type of
picture or description can be activated/deactivated during scanning. After,
when navigating in your disk collection, you can see the imported thumbnail
when selecting the file.

Supports compressed files
|
|
When scanning media, ReportCD can read the structure of compressed files and
save it in the catalog. The program can also import thumbnail of picture files
contained in compressed files. ReportCD has native support for ZIP, RAR, ACE, 7z, ARJ, BZip2, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, GZip, ISO, LZH, RPM, 001, TAR, Z
files.

Detailed information on files and folders
|
|
ReportCD displays detailed information on selected file or folder : name, size,
location, creation date and time, description, file attributes. You can edit
the description field.

Plugin architecture
|
|
ReportCD supports plugins for importing thumbnails, descriptions and compressed
files content when scanning media. You can develop your own plugin for a
specific format and integrate it easily in ReportCD !

Powerful data export
|
|
ReportCD can export disk, catalog and multimedia collection in two formats:
ASCII and XML. With the XML format, you can optionally use a stylesheet in
order to "properly" display the exported file in your web browser. This
stylesheet can also be modified.

Single Catalog file for disk collection
|
|
ReportCD stores disk collection information in a single catalog file,
easily transferable and easy to backup. ReportCD has an optimized file
structure for fast access and small size : a catalog with more than 55 000
files, representing around 8 full CD-ROMs, takes less than 1 MB, and fits
on a standard 3,5" floppy disk.

Single database file for
multimedia collection
|

ReportCD stores multimedia collection information in a single database
file. This database file is a Microsoft Access database, and you can extract
data as you want and generate powerful report with Microsft Access. Easy to
backup and to share with other people due to a single database file, ReportCD
can also compressed the database in order to reduce the size of the database.

Manage user-defined collections

|
With ReportCD, you can manage all kind of different collections : you can simply define your own collection type
(such as books, stamps,...).
For Books collections, you can download information from different web sites.

Automatic cover download for multimedia collection
|
|
With ReportCD, you can easily manage your multimedia collection : movies, music,
games and software. But ReportCD has also a powerful feature : it can download
covers from the internet ! For exemple, you want to add the movie 'Titanic' to
your movie collection and with a single click, ReportCD downloads for you the
cover of the film ! This feature is also available for music, game and
software.
